VIolance against Doctors of Surat             On the 9th of August, The medical fraternity of Surat was witness to this in human Act of Violence at a local Hospital. A pregnant patient was admitted with high grade fever. She was seriously ill when brought to the hospital. The gravity of the situation was explained to the relatives and needed signatures were taken from the husband. She succumbed to her illness by evening with a Probable diagnosis of Swine flu. She was ill for the past 4 days, but brought to the hospital on this very day. The relatives took away the body and later after a few hours at 11PM, a mob of 70-80 people came and ransacked the Hospital ICCU, beating the Doctors, nurses and watchman. The pregnant nurse had a premature delivery(7th month) after that and the doctor has a fractured rib.
